Master's degree programme
Master's degree in Life Sciences
The Master of Science (MSc) in Life Sciences addresses technical, technological, scientific and social questions in the areas of health, nutrition and the environment. With this consecutive Master's degree you acquire in-depth knowledge, analytical skills, leadership and a strong action orientation.
The Master's study programme is divided into four parts. A course of full-time study lasts three semesters. Part-time study is possible.

- Extended Theoretical Basics
- Specialisation
- Master's Thesis
The Master of Science (MSc) in Life Sciences is offered in cooperation with three other Swiss universities of applied sciences. You study general principles and extended theoretical basics with students from other universities. The subject specialisation takes place at an Institute at the ZHAW in Waedenswil. The Master's thesis is worked on in a research group in Waedenswil or externally in a company.
Specialisation in Natural Resource Sciences
The focus of the study programme is on the interrelation of natural resources and social development. The perspectives of humanities and social sciences as well as natural and economic sciences are included, taking ecological responsibility, economic productivity and social solidarity into account.
